Jeremy Dias Scholarship

The Jeremy Dias Scholarship seeks to recognize a youth that has taken initiative in addressing discrimination in their school or community.

Applicants must be Canadian citizens; and must be a high school or Cegep students entering accredited post-secondary institutions, or students currently enrolled in a post-secondary institutions.

The ideal winner(s) of this scholarship will be student(s) who have worked to eliminate discrimination within their school or community, as demonstrated by their application essay and references. Those who work within their secondary school or community to address homophobia/heterosexism will be given special consideration.

Applications (and required documents) must be submitted by mail to Jer's Vision by June 15; winner(s) will be selected and contacted by Sept 15.


Applications must include:

  1. One copy of the application form (PDF);
  2. Two reference letters (cannot be from relative);
  3. A current resume;
  4. An essay of up to 250 words describing efforts to eliminate discrimination in their community (one printed copy)
  5. A recent photo (for the website, should they win).
